There's literally no reason for this form to be so different from his normal Hybrid. Oda simply fumbled the reveal and didn't explain it properly.

I consider his Drunk berserk hybrid as awakening even though it lacks the cloud aura around it

Eyebrows changed
Body changes
Kaido becomes significantly stronger

Luffy's awakening is just him turning into his full zoan form , Nika
Lucci and the rest awakened forms are just like their hybrids but with that cloudy aura on their neck

The azure dragon is known for his wisdom, something kaido's lack hence why no awakening. You have to understand that hybrid can change, it's not something stable, you can have a lucci which is a mix between the human and the beast or you can have nusjuro or black maria who are both at the same time.

Actually his drunken modes to some extent can be compared to chopper's different points. Oda could have delved more into different points with Kaido.

Nah that’s just a point like form that he gains by using alcohol to boost his transformations. It’s just like chopper using meds and Luffy using haki to do the same. Dragon Kaidos brows have the swirl
