Jones is super fast for heavyweight too, he moves like a lightweight
I'd say Tom hits harder and is more athletic, while Jones has skill and overall physical strength
@EmperorKinyagi Jones strength training is just far ahead
He maxes out every lift you can imagine
DL
Sumo DL
Squats
Box Squats
Zercher Squats
Wide Bench
Close Bench
Grip focused pullups
Farmers
Add to that his skill, leverages and experience
Aspinal does many push exercises but you won't see him doing heavy squats or deadlifts
Aspinal could be baiting for all we know, even if he's a tad faster there are other gaps to close fighting someone like Jones
I assume his training camp would shift dramatically if he were to fight Tom, he'd have to be way leaner, focus more on speed than power
Miocic is a fucking tank like no other, still can't believe he survived that elbow mauling in round 1

Aspinal first round ko
In 16 years of professional fighting while taking PEDs jones has never dropped an opponent with punches
He doesn't have the speed or power to make Aspinal worry in the least
Tom would blitz and put him out with a 1-2.
There's a reason why Jones would give up the title instead of fighting him.
Also, how can you even spin quotes like this ("I dont want to gamble my legacy against dangerous up and comers at this point in my career") as anything other than Jones thinking he might lose.

DC said he's doing all this to grab more money
But yeah, he has everything to lose fighting someone like Tom, everyone knows it
He's gonna milk Dana one last time
He thinks playing into it will make him seem cool and make people stop spamming it but it won't
As long as he's talking nonsense to avoid him the 🦆 in the comments aren't going anywhere

More annoying than Jones is Dana glazing him
If that's the case it would make more sense for Dana to keep hyping Tom while calling Jones a coward until his ego forces him to take the fight not to be his biggest fanboy while putting down the future of his heavyweight division.

Dana is losing his edge, he could've promoted Mighty Mouse but now the flyweight division sucks ass (always did but at least Mighty was there and he had a couple years left in the tank). He thought removing the champion would make the division better somehow
And now he's trying to butcher his heavyweight divison. In the end he did realize that Tom is the future, and that Jones at best has one fight left in him. Ultimately I think Jones and Tom will fight, they just need to milk the hype first.
38 is still decent age that's where DC fought Jones and Stipe
I'm 50/50 on the Jones vs Aspinal fight happening
But by any chance If Tom were to lose that fight i don't know how i'll be able to keep watching the sport
I imagine myself at 60 years old playing with my grandkids and then getting pissed when i remember 40 years ago Jones beat Aspinal
