City Hunter should make the list back when i was still maturing up from watching captain tsubasa and other generic series.
I am embarrased to say the first anime i watch was a shoujo female series called "card captor sakura" .
City hunter , cow boy bebop, Ghost in the shell changed my view about animes .
Personally i think city hunter was underrated , partly because hero was creepy stalker but he sure rolled out when people were in trouble.
I still watch the series on youtube time to time. It was really popular series back in 90s.
Loved cow boy bebop as well it was the first anime that i truly felt it had essence of a crossover between western drama snd shounen plot.
