Truly a convergence of fact and fiction.
No major/specific spoilers ofc but man fuck Arcane, it really went in the most cliche, cringe, predictable, overdone, emotional baiting and cheap ending ever.
Some people can say it makes sense, thematic parallels, foreshadowing blah blah blah but fuck them lmao, this was a cringe fiesta.
It's really angered and upset me. Just gave me the final push I needed to disown league of losers and anything related permanently and finally though, so silver linings I guess.

Yeah man, it's the finale of this story arc, thus region. Runeterra the League of Legends world has tons of regions and the lore is actually getting pretty complex, in depth, diverse etc now. It's pretty fantastical at least tbh, but they have reconnect and upturned the original lore and thus champions backstories entirely too.
Arcane was a story about piltover and zaun, a nation split into two, a cyberpunk/steampunk utopia vs a chempunk/steampunk dystopia.
It features some of the most well known and loved champions but far from the entire list of piltover and zaum champions.
League currently has over 150 champions with plenty more teased to come which doesn't help lol. Could easily go over 200 if they keep this is for long enough lol.
That's awesome you checked out season 1, sorry you didn't enjoy it despite my immense love and recommendation of it but let me put it this way, think of what Eustass Kidd fans have gone through and then apply it to Arcane.
Season 2 was a mess of pacing and whilst it had some beautiful, astounding writing and cinematography, absolutely inhumane quality of art and animation, fantastic music yet again amd so on, the finale just shit the bed so hard to speak.
Very rushed, very underwhelming and they lied to us saying the finale would be much longer when it was barely 10 minutes longer lmfao.
Apparently they've had this 2 year story planned out for many years but once again I'm getting severe deja vu especially when one piece stans insist oda has planned out every intricacy of one piece and nothing is "filler or improvised".
I can easily write up a better, more satisfying finale or better yet, get one in literal seconds thanks to AI but the fact that 250 million dollars was spent to give us writing that was no better than the fucking current day average Marvel or mainstream Hollywood film and follows their exact same beats, like follow the leader or clueless lemmings going off a cliff, just makes me seethe unironically amd genuinely.
Episode 7 was fucking brilliant but it also left a really bad taste in my mouth especially after the finale too but I cant say why for major spoilers.
Episode 8 was great too.
But Episode 9? The finale? Fuck that episode. Season 1s finale was one of the greatest and most ballsy finales I've seen since Jojo Part 6 and AOT but this Season 2 and series ending was so rushed, so hamfisted, so cliche and just apathetically underwhelming that my blood is boiling like our favourite magma fleet admiral too!
On a side note Arcane loves killing off children too. It's sickening. I mean for a mature story I guess it works, but in this season it felt more exploitative and forced emotional baiting and character induced trauma than anything.
It also tries to glorify and humourise suicide too ffs.
