Maybe objective, within a system, by a specific standard, but there is no objective standard that says you are a winner or a loser, but I believe there are objective standards for truth and morality,

yeah, its all about how YOU think of yourself. An African dude that can get honey from those nasty ass beehives might be a badass in his tribe, but in an Urban setting he is just another broke dude. Status is extremely subjective.

From the strawhats' perspective they were being completely defeated but they were actually saved from that and the reality of it can be seen in what Kuma was thinking, this is an ofte real life occurence too,
