Controversial Gaban Doesn’t Have To Be A Good Guy

There's been a lot of speculations lately that Gaban is coming into the current time line, let's for arguments sake, say it's true and he does come back

He doesn't necessarily need or have to come back as a good guy

It's been twenty-two years since Rogers death we don't know what became went through during that time, how learning the true history may have twisted his world view or really much about his personality from back then

I think at least one Roger pirate would be an antagonist and if it's anyone I can easily see it being Gaban

Rayleigh would still have the power to positively impact the world.
Instead he spends his time gambling and drinking himself into a stupor.
Can Scopper Gaban really be any worse than that.

This is what I was saying.
Crocus was kinda eh towards the SHs. Ray is pals with them and even mentored Luffy. So it'd only be cool for Gaban to openly oppose the SHs.
It could follow naturally from VP's broadcast telling the world that Roger knew the truth but did nothing about it, if we were now shown that Gaban disagreed with his captain's choice and tried to do something on his own against IMU and the flood threats.

Gaban was crying when Roger left lol and showed 0 hints of being a bad guy. There's no chance this happens though it would be cool. Sadly post ts oda simply isn't a good writer to have these morally complex characters, it's clear that there's just a good side or a bad side, not like pre ts where there were multiple morally grey characters

And Roger Pirates clearly seem to be in a good light so it's sad this won't happen but again, it's cool to think of
