He'll have a role to play, eventually. Cheadle is supposed to be a highly deductive genius, so the medical team could find themselves in a situation where Leorio must show his medical prowess under the clock (maybe save an injured prince?), while Cheadle runs through some deductional possibilities.

It's not about him being able to win a fight against anyone. It's moreso about him doing anything at all

He's been irrelevant for most of the story and he's still irrelevant right now

I'm pretty sure most Leorio fans (myself included) love the career path he chose

The problem is he has maybe one "doctor" moment in the entire series and that was at the very beginning lol

He went to medical school and has nothing to show for it. Just hoping that his apprenticeship under Cheadle bares some sort of fruit

At this stage of the game, best case scenario is Leorio gets some off-screen training and a couple of feats without outshinning other characters. Leorio is too weak to be relevant. Plus, he is already a hunter. His goal was the money that hunters get, his objective has being accomplished.
