Questions & Mysteries Zoro is either Mihawk's son or Mihawk fought his dad

#1
Call me drunk but i'm a firm believer that either one of the two is real.

We all know Oda likes to leave hints and i'm sure many of you know Arashi is the name of Zoro's dad, Mihawk's debut has an Arashi title in it and there's more to that.

1. Zoro is the son of Mihawk

I think we didn't pay attention to this because Mihawk wears his hat all the time so we tend to forget what his hair looks like. Pay attention to the hair and tell me if there's a resemblance.

Dracule Mihawk is a European inspired character. The name of Zoro's mother is Terra which is also a European name. Her epithet "thieving bandits" screams pirate and Mihawk is also a pirate so surely there's a connection? Did she die from an "illness" the same way as Ginny that caused him to go berserk against WG and became known as the "marine hunter"?

Is this why he seems to have a soft spot for Zoro and treats him like a pupil which is completely out of character from him? Zoro also possess the same demonic aura as him which could means they share the same blood.

2. Mihawk fought Zoro's dad

This reaction of Mihawk sweating suggests that a similar technique was used by someone in the past against Mihawk during a fight. That person could be none other than Zoro’s father who was killed by a pirate as stated in the family tree. It’s a common trope in sword genre anime where the son goes after the killer of his family members who are also top tiers.

When Zoro saw him sweating during their fight and said that you're more of a human than Mihawk himself. This observation supports the idea that Mihawk’s reaction to Zoro’s sword style was significant and hints at a deeper connection.

Zoro's father was a descendant of Ryuma so he had to be a master swordsman at least as we can clearly see that swordsmanship runs in their blood. Since Mihawk was the WSS so he was constantly searching for a worthy opponent across the seas and happens to cross paths with Roronoa Arashi.

How else would a complete rookie in the East Blue know who Mihawk is when no one around him knew who he is except those who has been to the Grandline?

More supporting theory. @Kumathegoat

This shows that this is not going to be an ordinary Zoro vs Mihawk fight for the WSS. I'm willing to bet there's going to be a deep and emotional backstory and build up hype that prelude to their face off.

That's the only explanation why they haven’t showed their backstory yet.

I thought about both of these scenarios myself but I find both of them very unlikely.
Mihawk being Zoro's dad is close to impossible due to Arashi being declared dead.
Mihawk killing Arashi is possible but still don't know if I would like that scenario.
Neither of them are necessary for the main reason why Zoro vs Mihawk happens - hunger for power.

lame shonen bullshit senario

can't a man be fucking great without his daddy be somebody?
even in the world of fiction we have to deal with this crap?
Zoro is already a non-D great ... he should stay as normal as possible just like Whitebeard

Were you disappointed with Garling reveal?
Shanks sure as fuck was spoiled throughout all his life be it his daddy genes or growing up on the PK’s ship
said many times I wanted Shanks to be a normal human

I didn't add Garling to the story.

also I don't give a fuck that Shanks wasn't a subject to Child abuse. I don't WANT that for him or anyone
but he was in the war with Whitebeard and Shiki. who the fuck are you calling "spoiled"
the fuck you did at 10?

Damn you took it personal, was just asking about your thoughts on Garling lol
Shanks being in these wars at a young age learning from such pirates is exactly what being spoiled is, as opposed to other top tiers who had to carve their path with their own hands
