Ratchet

The End and the Beginning
fuji reads like non hostile indie or town
muugen/seraph/yoho town
im unsure on flower, think she's being pretty weak. not gonna assign a read yet

why?

=====================

leaning scum on saber, posturing and projecting overconfidence without putting forward anything meaningful. i saw that lynch on him failed and he claimed indie, havent read everything up to that point yet but i dont really buy whatever he claimed, i think we can toss him again. what if we never lynched him at any point in the game? does he remain wincon less? sounds like nonsense to me

leaning scum on naomi, engagement seems to lean a bit too much into her town self than actually being her town self. whole talk about safe search filters was a noisy attempt to ease into the game. best she's done up to this point is ask if alexis is scum or if seraph is a new player, which is well.. not really much in terms of finding their alignment given the lack of followup up to where i read. i dont sense an agency to read other players in her play.

why is susing yoho early game fake? whats your own read of yoho?

leaning scum on tepig, think he's taken this survival shtick and rolled with it after seeing that it's been mostly sidestepped. he puts in work as town which is often what gets him killed even as a sub. most notable i saw from him up to this point was this post to seraph which is setting seraph to look bad, hence scummy. his posts to ratchet later read like distancing where tepig essentially open scums in saying that he's intentionally not making himself readable, which is typically something scums wud say to mitigate the fact that they cannot replicate their town play to T and already plan an excuse for it in advance by saying "i'll be unreadable this game". my issue with tepig is not just saying it, it's leaning too much into it.

thats not at all what seraph said, ur dealing in extremes here which makes him look bad, a punishable offense dare i say

leaning scum on ratchet - first idk what ratchet likes about saber and naomi's play. saber feels like posturing and projecting overconfidence without putting forward anything meaningful and naomi isnt engaged with the thread as ratchet's reason to like her imply, she's practically invisible aside from the internet filter search topic which was meaningless

what exactly was the purpose of all of this?

this seems like texbook distancing to me. its the post i was referring to earlier re: tepig leaning too much into being unreadable and the survival shtick he's picked up after dying the past 2 games

==================

im only in page 15, i am missing alot of context of the game, however thought id post this now so my thought process can be tracked as im reading the thread
What exactly am I supposed to be responding to here? I think Naomi is generally an easy read and Saber early game was fine. He didn't keep that up though which is how that read progressed.

I think Ekko focusing on Ratchet first thing looks good at first glance, but I don’t agree with him on that direction. Ratchet didn’t seem pockety towards me so far. Usually he just calls me Town and moves on, but here he actively questioned the way I claimed which looked kinda fine.

Someone tried to kill ??? but it failed

The Mafia killed @Michelle
She was Charles Babbage, a member of Town

You are Charles Babbage, a member of Town

[Passive - A big hammer] - Charles Babbage is a man of action, he does not waste time on things that doesn’t matter. Coincidentally his big hammer is not just for show, if Babbage is to place a vote he may only do so if it is the vote that reaches majority (hammering the lynch).

Breaking the terms will result in mod-block

[Active - The Father of Computers] - Babbage is an incredibly smart person who made the original computer, he is able to connect a lot of dots that others might not see.
He can make computations and algorithms to investigate their behavior.
However Babbage has little interest in the conflict, and often forgets to check his results.

Target someone to leave an analytical computation running, forgetting all about it.

Wincon - Eliminate all threats to Town

With that night 1 has ended, and Day 2 has begun!
you have 24 hours to come up with a Lynch, with 14 players alive it takes 8 to hammer

Btw, is that real character? Charles with 0vp, but able to hammer people. Bad investigator. Feels really pointed o:

EkkoLoJinx

How far I'll go...
Is this a inside joke ratchet? :sus:
got some intel on their chat naomi?

I think I was the first person to say I think Sera is pretty scummy. To elaborate on this, he feels more performative than he was last game to me. I think he's new, so I kinda want to see how that plays out, because he's not going to have a clearly defined meta yet, but I felt like he's come into the thread looking to suspect everyone and everything. One example being, accusing Fuji of faking being baited. It's pretty clear to me that his intent there is to muddy the water, but he doesn't actually accuse Fuji of anything, nor does he even explain why Fuji would even bother faking it. Also think he's been kinda soft around me too, but that's clearly more subjective.
i think ur being pretty narrowminded with ur read of seraph here, almost similar to how i kept him in POE last game despite him being obvious town from 2 posts. first seraph is a "slip hunter" type of players, he saw what he thought was a slip and pushed for it, nothing more nothing less. his entire play last game was doing the same. i think what you are saying here is a mischaracterization of how he approaches things. he didn't come in wanting to fight, he saw a "slip" and reacted to it, then proceeded to omgus his suspectors namely muugen and naomi. it's reactionary, not predatory as you are implying

it'd be surprising to say this but i think the way naomi has been pecking at him is pretty scummy. shes doing it from the safety of muugen shielding her, and even attributed the credit to muugen by saying "wow you cooked him", basically absolving herself from the blood in the mess

i think seraph shudnt be that hard for you to find there, and the reasoning that you are providing for this scum read just doesn't sit right with me

Ekko, it‘s easy to speak in hindsight with the knowledge that he has a Cop claim now. Sera was different from his usual Town play. But it might have just been because he has a strong role as people with clearing roles tend to play scummier, sometimes.
