How can I post something longer than 34999 characters?

#1
In my short time in the forum I've encountered this problem several times. A post doesn't allow more than 34999 characters. Additionally, the forum prevents me from double posting by merging any subsequent reply with the former one.
The case is, if I'm trying to double post on purpose because my message exceeds the character limit for a single post, the auto-merging always fails for obvious reasons and I have no way to post the whole message I wanted to post in the first place.

What's the solution to this?

Yes. I thought of that too. But then, I'd lose other funtionality like hyperlinks. Also, maybe if I tried, I'd find myself exceeding some image limit I'm not aware of ^^"
Im not sure but try and make your post few parts and put each part in a spoiler

i dont know if this works or not
Also, people here as far as i know dont read THAT long threads so theres that

Nobody reads long posts, there's a reason for the limit

Best solution i can think of is splitting your threads into two threads,

Best solution i can think of is splitting your threads into two threads,
Thank you! I've done that a couple of times. It's not elegant, but gets the job done ONLY if it's the first message of a thread.

If I want to reply an already existing thread... It's surreal to have to create another thread to have just part of a message that belongs in another thread :S

You have to ask somebody to make a filler post between your own posts. It is currently the only way to get around auto-merge. :lusalty:
Yes. That works. But then I depend on others to be able to write in the forum T_T

Would you be so kind as to make a filler post here? Thank you very much!

Rule number 1 - you don't.
Nobody going to waste their time reading something that long. Just ask Chat Gpt to summarize it and upload.
Post automatically merged:

Some users don't get auto merge on their posts for some reason (not talking about vip users either)
Just ignore enough members that their replies get hidden and your posts appear continously and boom. No auto - merge.
Thank me later
