Future Events Kid will wash ashore Pirate Island, not Elbaf

Obviously he isn't dead. Many have thought about his return. Mostly people think he will somehow find himself in the Underworld and interact with Loki. Then he will transition into ally of the Strawhats somehow. I don't see that at all. He will not swallow his pride. He will pay back Shanks for destroying his ship and stealing his poneglyphs. He can't do it on his own, he just tried. So he will make a pact with the devil. He will make yet another alliance. His first alliance, against Shanks, was a huge failure. The second one against Kaido and Big Mom on the other hand worked out very well. Kid will make his way to Pirate Island and ally with Shanks' biggest enemy: Blackbeard. In school you Teach Kids. Blackbeard is now an Admiral. He already commands ten Titanic Captains. Eustass "Captain" Kid will also become part of his fleet.

There is no such thing as “too few.” The point is that important characters do in fact die in One Piece, so just writing off his death as impossible is bad reasoning. It seems very clear by the differences in the epitaphs when Shanks defeated Bartolomeo vs when he beat Kidd that Barto is alive and Kidd is dead.
