do you not think there may be flavor traps with this?
There might be. But it's still bad to claim Tier because it is still flavour hinting.

For example 3 people claim Level 0. If the MC is one of the targets (he probably is), the scum team would know who to kill.

It's just dumb. And the game being a lynchpin game is kinda demotivating since it takes away a big portion of gameplay for me (claiming and asking for claims). Best thing is to just solve with reads and not claim at all.

But I also feel like scum would not want people to reveal shit either, cause it is easier to push for mislynches that way as well. I'm not gonna act like I know what a lynchpin situation is so if someone wants to explain it I'd like that considering I am not sure if I played a mafia game like that. Which is why I am also not sure what my approach should be right now.

Again, just because you claim a fucking tier doesn't mean is is true. Cause ya know a game of deceit but again how would I KNOW if your telling the truth. Like come the fuck on, use some brain power.

And there appears to be two different kinds of levels. I just asked for a tier, either way how can one confirm. In a way that could help us weed out mafia and targeting. But, what do I know.

I'm just some clown supposedly. And, I'm not capable of 5d chess moves (despite my history saying otherwise) but what do I know? lol

I mean, asking for claims this early on game where specific roles are targetted by itself is sus af, to the point that it falls into "too scummy to be scum" category. Like, i'd imagine scum would rather not be so direct about it.
i know that. what im asking is what makes flower sus over refusing to claim when she's been consistent about her position against claiming and if that makes you suspicious to others.
if people only find flower's position and reluctance to claim suspect, what is it about you agreeing that doesn't raise alarm bells? because i see no difference.
why is it that flower's take is under scrutiny?

largely these kinds of positions to discourage revealing anything normally come from town as a protective, proactive measure (ime)

rarely do i see scum use this for brownie points. they instead find a way to be more subtle about role fishing (people are free to counter this with receipts, this is just purely based on my experience)

fwiw i concur with not revealing anything so early on

So you have never played a lynchpin game and wanna make people think you know what the best approach is as opposed to people like myself who have played 3 of those minimum.

Do not hint at flavour at all.
Do not give scum unnecessary info.

Those are the two rules you should follow. It's not hard.

Literally scums profit from people claiming and hinting in those setups holy shit.

no no i agree, there's a disadvantage to claiming because it absolutely works in scum's favor

@Fujishiro im going to need a better reason beyond you feeling lazy for not wanting to elaborate on your read of charlie

instead of waiting to persuade me when you had the time you proceeded to tag people that would simply follow along without a second thought

do you see the issue here?
i was and am still willing to hear you out, mind you. i just don't understand where your impatience is coming from

I am a Level 5

Now we'll see who is brave enough to come at me

Can he be that stupid as Town or is he just trying to get me riled up so much that I claim and help him find the targets.
i think his insistence is genuine and doesn't come from wanting to collect info on specific tiers, he just is hyperfocused on you. if he went around fishing for tiers beyond just you it'd be different (like focusing on both you and charlie)
