I would not say wokness direct was the fault for this desaster,but these so called "liberals" mayor and governer used the state budged for stupid indentity projects instead for the protection of the common people.

It’s because pedophilia and the age of consent are relatively modern concepts. Hence if you take the most conservative interpretation of any religious text, one could come to the conclusion that such things are permissible. Because 1000+ years ago when these religions were created, pedophilia was normalized.
Ex. In Torah, I do believe Lot offers up his underaged daughter to a gang of rapists to prevent them from hurting an angel. Also the age of maturity is 12 for girls and 13 for boys in Judaism(tho modern day this is solely used in the context of bar/bat mitzvah and other religious customs)
Obviously cultures change over time and the vast majority of religious people(at least in the west) understand that just because pedophilia isn’t explicitly banned in the Bible/Quran doesn’t mean God wants you to fuck kids. But that doesn’t stop some people from trying.
A lot of Islamic cultures haven’t fully modernized to the extent of the west. Hence I do believe child marriage is common in some of those countries.
My friend from Bangladesh said it happened there, I know one of the mods here is Bangladeshi so idk if you can comment much about it.

Islam was created by people in the 7th century, and this act was considered normal back then, so it's normal in the religion they created.
Unfortunately, there are many people who lack the ability to think for themselves and instead blindly follow what they have inherited by coincidence. Sadly, what they have inherited includes teachings that allow them to justify such acts.
Thankfully, I don’t think the majority of Muslims would commit or agree with these acts, even if they don’t outwardly express their disagreement due to fear of the consequences.

@NAMELESS This is the type of person that would give the command to leave someone to die in a fire if the situation has the smallest risk of the fire crew getting into some kind of danger.

I don't wanna get into politicization of the wildfire - point is regardedless of to which political party public office bearer belongs to - a mismanagement of this scale warrants resignation (atleast).
Anyone who is responsible for this should be fired immediately. There shouldn't be any second chance. There shouldn't be any defence of these people. There shouldn't be any leniency.
Government needs to ensure that affected people get their insurance claims duly.
Also, it surprises me that a country so advanced like USA doesn't have houses build with flame retardant materials and roof sprinklers in a wildfire hazard zones.

Islamophobia goes beyond the description of irrationnal fear or hatred for Islam. Just like antisemitism is more than the hate or fear of semites or homophobia or transphobia are more than the fear of homosexual or trans people.
All those terms (islamophobia included) are used by researchers to describe systems of oppression against certain people.
So, when we talk about Islamophobia, we don't talk about religion, we talk about the systemic oppression that face muslims in the west and in countries like China.
