Doesn't align to Oda's themes of free will. Her place will not be chose for her, she absolutely can leave the elephant if it were to come to Elbaph.
The year we don't know what will it bring, but as long as everyone is forced to wait for the story to keep moving anything can and will happen. It took Jinbe more than 10 years, and Carrot is already approaching her 10th year mark on October.
The suffering already passed in 2022-2024 now it's all just patience. I'm done grieving.
