They’re currently on their back foot with the Revs brigade. Oda could easily write them being desperate enough to recruit Doffy back with the promise of gaining his CD status back.

Fair enough.
And it'd certainly be interesting to see both Doffy and BB at Mariejois, trying to backstab IMU at the most convenient time.
But I still believe Doffy's future is with CG.
