Can we talk about how nonsensical the SHs' pathing has been in Elbaf so far?

While running away from Rodo, Luffy casualmh stumbles into Loki. They chat, before Luffy decides to leave. They reunite with Saul, and now Luffy decides to return to Loki, just in time for the HK to have made their move.
This is the narrative back-and-forth of an author who doesn't know how to set up his scenes.

Why is that an issue though? Luffy had an initial encounter with Loki, and after reuniting with his friends is gonna see him again. I think they actually meet the main villain kind of early a lot of times

Given they introduced his connection to Figarland . I don’t think Shanks will lose to Blackbeard now he is one of the Central figure in the story . If he dies it will be Imu or Pranks backstabbing him .

He will lose
But it will take Blackbeard (combination of strongest Logia, strongest Zoan, and strongest Paramecia ), every BB pirates, Gorosei, Holy Knights and marines.
He will die protecting something or someone.

I took the spoiler to mean that Holdom was defeated and took them back to his base. Probably where the kidnapped ladies are.

It's not the timing relative to the arc, but relative to everything else that needs to happen for Oda's story to work.

Luffy meets Loki, leaves, then comes back just in time for the HK to miraculously decide to make their move now instead of any other time in the past 6 years.

The plot doesn't start unless the SHs are on the island.
It's like the whole world is made out of toys that only come into play in proximity of Luffy, while for the rest of the time stay dormant.

Maybe the HK came because Garling joined the gorosei? This would be more in relation to Imu killing Saturn and the revolutionary attack on WG, as well as Vegapunks betrayal. This is kind of because of Luffy, but also because the WG needs to grow its strength

Yep this is kind of true, I've seen some people hype up Garling just because he is related to Shanks.

They don't actually care about Garling, they just care that he is related to Shanks.

Of course not everyone is like this, I was never a huge Shanks fan, but I do like Garling a bit and I do find him interesting.
