Oda showed in this very chapter that the giants have two beliefs about the sun god
And now what is Loki's goal?
Loki knows better than anyone that he is not the chosen one
Also, Loki doesn't give the vibe of characters like Kaido and Doofy
He is probably a gray character with a painful past, a story similar to Robin

He’s not a Kaido or Doffy, I think it’ll be a short fight that’ll get interrupted and eventually Loki will be on Luffys side during the end of the arc.

Basically a Luffy vs Wyper esque fight

Vegapunk said that the Devil Fruit only exists because people believe in their myth and wish to be that. If there are two versions of the Sun God, a liberator and a destroyer, perhaps Loki's fruit is the fruit of the Sun God of destruction. The giants believe in this legend too, just as they believe in Nika.
