Spoiler One Piece Chapter 1136 Spoilers Discussion

Shanks just beat him raw without the giants’ help. The one where it took all of Elbaf to stop him must have been a later moment, probably a half-restrained Loki or something.
They also might have ganged up right after he killed his dad. If a half restrained loki took all of elbaf to be put down, i have no doubt he obliterated them the first time, right before he went off to sea.

Let's be honest here, the Loki Oda drew back in WCI with a big army and proposing Lola isn't the same as this one. Oda probably had another perspective of Elbaph back in WCI and he changed his mind. So the Lola stuff is irelevant.
I mean, the change in appearance is fine.
But the story between him and Lola is not something that Oda can just ignore, it happened, according to many sources, even Big Mom herself, it happened, and Oda has to explain what the hell that was all about.
That was something about his personality, you can't just rewrite the character's personality with no fucking reason.

Law was a chill dude in his introduction, Greenbull too... they aren't now are they?

It wouldn't be the first time that Oda changes these attitudes to the characters. And obviously Lola is canon, nobody says that, and surely they will even bring her back, who knows. But I don't see the relevance of her with this Loki. Besides, canonically she also already got married.

I think Oda had other plans and intentions with Loki back in WCI, and changed his mind about him.
A Loki who since childhood only caused chaos and destruction and was the shame of everyone, would not be out there looking for marriage with an army behind him.

Yeah and besides, rejection by a woman you love can definitely make you rethink something about yourself.
