The problem with that is that the HK we know of so far are all CD.
Human or giants kings are below them, they are places their ancestors rejected and left behind. If they wanted him to ascend to the throne and work with them as a country wouldn't they be offering him a deal instead of a HK position, which is very specific?

The HK position is probably the only way they could give him the title. Even York was placed as a subordinate of Garling to gain her title.
