(always wanted a sword like that for zoro) There shouldn't be any doubts on who's the strongest at the end of one piece.

I know it gets repetitive to hate/bash on them.
But despite the buildup they had, one of them being a villain in two arcs, and the other one being the main villain in the longest arc.
Kaido and Big Mom at the end of the day really felt like filler characters.
Shanks, Blackbeard, the Admirals, Imu and the Five Elders, Dragon, and the Warlords are all going to play a major role when the series comes even closer to the end.
Even Loki who was introduced during this arc, is most likely going to play a major role at the end as well.
Same thing with Enel if he does return.
Unless Oda somehow brings back Kaido and Big Mom and has them team up with Luffy.

We have Soba girls missing/kidnapped (feeding Big Mom) and the carpenter Minatomo missing/kidnapped as well (Wano carpenters know how to carve Seastone. Linlin and Kaido were in a below-sea-level lava-filled cavern, before an earthquake hit the nation. The ocean water mixed with the Pyrobloin in the lava, creating Seastone and encasing Linlin and Kaido in it, so they need Wano carpenters who can work Seastone - we know they can do this from Hawkins' talking to Law about the Seastone Nail he used - to carve Kaido and Linlin).
Linlin will end up in Elbaph after escaping, Kaido will die whenever Oda goes back to Wano to deal with Pluton.
Big Mom and Kaido were both training arcs for Luffy and the crew to learn to fight Yonkou. Luffy learned Adv CoO through Katakuri, Adv CoA through fighting Big Mom in Udon, then Adv CoC against Kaido. Red Haired Pirates will clash with the crew in a Davy Back as one last training arc, then the Straw Hats true test will be them vs the Blackbeard Pirates.
