I know it's very unlikely to happen but I would like a scenario similar to Sauron with Numenor where Imu feigned allegiance to the Ancient Kingdom, only to infiltrate and help corrupt it to fasten its downfall, while orchestrating for the other kingdoms to rise in rebellion against the Ancient Kingdom in turmoil, before tricking them in making them their secret ruler.

Who cares what Oda knew, he’s not the one cutting pictures, that’s Imu. Saying Imu is cutting pictures of gods without knowing they’re gods? That’s a massive stretch.

It’s not a stretch because the black flames is something specifically pointed out by others when they see the Gorosei teleport and regenerate. That’s the difference between them and Lucci/kaku. And let’s not even pretend like black flames aren’t commonly referred to as hellfire in anime and media.

And does the world of OP look like a world of darkness? No, it isn’t.

How can't people see that Imu creates and upholds order while Blackbeard destroys and literally brings darkness. He's way closer to the winged demon than Imu.

Perhaps, I don't think Imu's powers originates from him. He obviously control this power. But I think the power is something above him, that he learned to control. And if the black flames came from the serpent then is more likely that the serpent is the red line (since Imu chose to live there)
