Is it Typhon?

In 1138 we learned that Shamrock's sword has a devil fruit/transformation, Cerberus. Cerberus, while also being one of the most famous of the monsters in Greek Mythology, is the son of an important figure in the mythology: Typhon.

Typhon's physical appearance is presented inconsistently, but he's usually presented as a giant serpentine like monster. He and his mate Enchidna are also the parents of many of the most famous beasts in mythology. The beforementioned Cerberus, The Chimera, The Hydra, The Eagle that tortures Prometheus, and even the gorgons, sirens and harpies in some versions.

Typhon is essentially the final boss of Greek mythology. He essentially battled the entire Greek pantheon, and defeating him is what earned Zeus his position as "King of the Gods". He's pretty much one of the strongest non primordial entities in all versions. I think this would be an appropriate devil fruit for Garling, who's an extremely hyped character and the father of the "Cerberus Wielder". It wouldn't fit in with the Yokai theme, but neither does the Sandworm and Garling is clearly an outlier amongst the Gorosei anyway

I also think it's possible Shanks' sword will have the fruit of one of the beforementioned monsters. (It seems like the Griffon/Gryphon isn't one of the offspring of Typhon in any sources I could find.)

I also think this would be an appropriate devil fruit for EOS Teach if you buy the theories of him beating Garling.

@Elder Lee Hung @Shiroyru @SakazOuki @Saint Figarland Garling @DarkWitch etc

I think that's more likely to be BB's final fruit if he gets one.

For Garling, shouldn't he be a Yokai to match his fellow Gorobros?

A Gashadokuro DF would be awesome, idk if Garling has any connection to those though.
If Jupiter can be a sandworm rather than a traditional Japanese monster I suppose there’s nothing stopping Garling from having a Greek one.

Now that I've reread this (kimda skimmed the first time, my bad) it's a cool concept and I think it fits. I do think he'll wield it through a weapon like his sons and use it to generate armies of monsters, massive flames etc. But then again not sure if you have to have a transformation to be a Gorosei.

For Shanks, was Ladon the brother of Cerberus? I don't recall fully.

Typhon is such a powerful being for a minion like Garling imo
I was thinking something similar at first. I also think Typhon could work for Imu if he doesn't have a western dragon/satan/Umi Bozu.

Though if Garling is presented as the "boss" of the Holy Knights instead of Shamrock and still directly commands them, I think him being Typhon could work because he'd be commanding his own "army of monsters"

Garling could be a Yokai, but he doesn't have to. Peter is a Sandworm, which comes from Dune, written by an American. Warcury is a Fengxi, which is actually a creature from Chinese mythology instead of a Yokai. Since Garling stands out amongst the Gorosei in every possible way, I can see him having a different devil fruit.

Gashadokuro is cool but with Nusjuro existing it's kinda repetitive imo.

Yeah I seen typhon is the dad of cerberus

This will.deffo be garlings fruit
Typhon is one of the coolest characters to come out of Greek mythology, but ngl I don't think I've seen a single artists interpretation of him that I actually like

Garling being a Titan would definitely be fitting for a pseudo-endgame boss like him

I bet on him having an Atlas-appearance tho
If he is a Titan, I think Chronos/Kronos/Saturn would be a better bet

Since Kronos' entire thing is that he's the father of the first of the gods. In a lot of versions he has time powers which could be cool.
