This is as convoluted as it gets

He doesn’t need to take Imu‘s fruit, he could be the devil himself (on the left) or summon him maybe
The potential of Yami is unknown and he’s still looking for more fruits
Blackbeard is only 40 years old. He can’t be the devil himself who has been around for centuries and already fought 2 world wars. Only Imu could possibly fit that bill.

It seems from the mural that the devil even predates devil fruits since the god of the forest only started sending those out in the Second World.

Imu doesn’t seem to need to go through the trouble of using devil fruits to grant power and immortality.

Question: Did Roger know about Imu? I think it is likely this was the case.
It is implied that the story at Laughtale reveals everything, which should include Imu too.

You can say the same thing about Luffy being sun god
It’s all about the fruit, Blackbeard could be the sun god of destruction
Devil fruits were mentioned in the first text “forbidden sun” that’s also where the sun god first appeared

I think it may be really important too that the world that Blackbeard said you can't find an answer to good and evil in is that ruled by Imu, the appearence of Nika may change Blackbeard's mind, and Imu's actions may also be why Blackbeard suffered as a kid,

Maybe Nika appears, neg diffs Imu, and then Luffy and Blackbeard fight for the one piece, maybe even a friendly fight with both of them having seen the issues with their actions, Luffy things like letting impel down prisoners be randomly, and Blackbeard with the other things,

Honestly unless there’s way more to Teach than just a 3rd fruit and his lineage is way crazier than we think I don’t see it.

I don’t even feel like he’s on par with Kaido/BM and would loose more often than not to Kuzan/Sakazuki.

Hard for me to imagine him as a raid boss

The forbidden sun is most likely the mother flame, not devil fruits.
Fruits are tied to forests, hence would be the god of the forest’s purview.

Also, Nika has to exist as a concept before a devil fruit could be created of him. There’s no actual physical Nika figure in the mural of the first world.

Blackbeard is part of the D family, so either that’s the half moon people or moon people. Probably the former.
It’s the Enemies of the gods vs the Celestial Dragons who became gods.
It would be pretty pointless if it just came down to the enemies of the gods fighting amongst themselves.

This is a surprise. Do you hate BB that much or finally came to terms that BM was a legitimate top tier?
BB will be, or already is, the strongest villain. When he is not in his cocky state of mind that is.
BB will be stronger but he’s so far away from a raid boss that needs the full verse to defeat in a 1v20 with ancient weapons right now that I think that’s extremely unlikely.

I feel like BB would have a really hard time against old Ray and maybe even current Zoro based on his on panel feats.

It’s only narrative in favor of Teach but I don’t think he can ever get to the level the mural implies

Blackbeard could claim 2 ancient weapons tomorrow

Just as reminder/FYI to folks

This was the "shadow" size of the Gorosei:

This is the sizes of the Gorosei in actuality. Saturn DWARFS Dorry and Broggy combined. Jupeter dwarfs Emeth (who is several times the size of the Giants).

IMU's Shadow DWARFS the shadows of the Gorosei:

I am 99.9% sure Imu is going to be the biggest Demonic/dragon looking mf we've ever witnessed in this series, he's going to Dwarf the likes of Jupeter. I'm 99.9% sure that Imu's tranformation is the one depicted in the drawing.

Do you really think there will be a point when BB can 1v20 G5 Luffy, a dozen or a half dozen top tiers, all races in the world united, and ancient weapons just for him.

Given that we know that his body is special and can do things no one else can do like eat 2 devil fruits, I don't know why Blackbeard can't get asspull power ups

Also, in the way we see it during vegapunks flashback, it was the 20 kings vs joyboy. Why would this mural be literal if it's like a cave painting done by children?

You are grossly overestimating old Ray. He himself admitted that its just his reputation that kept BB away. Implying that a real battle would have gone in BBs favor.
This is BBs biggest strength. He is calculating and not reckless. He is actively aquiring more power in form of fruits and so on.
In the end the raidboss Kaido got 1v1 KOed by Goofy. Not a strict 1v1 of course, but you get what I mean.
Rooftop was the last step before actual top tier fights from SHs. The next Yonko or Admiral will fight will be without assistance and a real 1v1. The 1vX vs Kaido and BM was so that the story kept a little bit of tension without the need to resort to crazy power creep.

The mural did not show a single enemy vs all. The 2 other shadows (possibly "gods") were fighting each other.
And I do not think its meant literally anyways. Also, what does 1 faction vs 20 other factions even tell us when we do not know each factions strength?

I heavily doubt that Imu literally went 1 vs the world.

First of all, the mural doesn’t even show that, there’s a boat of allies at Imu’s feet.

Secondly, there are the other nineteen kings. It’s pretty clear that the Celestial Dragons are strong, and that’s going to be at least eighteen (Lili’s allegience uncertain) decently strong people supporting Imu. We’re talking about the ancestors of Shanks, Doflamingo, the five Gorosei. Anyone really suggesting all these guys just stood back and watched Imu fight?

Finally, there’s the idea that the God of Forest sent out demons, plural. Suggests to me that there’s been other iterations of Imu leading the Gorosei- was Egghead not basically Imu sending out demons?

Idk why people think Old Ray is the same level as Old Garp when a) Prime Garp was a level above Prime Ray and b) Garp has never stopped training.

The gap between the two old legends should be big
