In the end, Roger wasn't Joyboy, Luffy is, he'll be more special than Roger.

Similarly, Rayleigh didn't make a black blade, so Zoro will be more special than Rayleigh, but with no parallel to draw comparisons further after they pass that point.

Depend, for me it's more about the dynamics than straight up parallels. People tend to downplay science in this series but with the genes stuff Sanji can also get massive power-ups if Oda wishes for it. In a post-Wano SBS he said to watch for Sanji's powers, implying something more is coming.
