I doubt Gaban is the man marked by the flames, it's probably a red herring. The man marked by the flame is supposed to travel around with a black ship and has DF powers that create vortexes. I doubt that's Gaban.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the source of this summoning circle is. After all, Saturn was the one who performed the summoning on the other elders as per his own words. Though it stands to question who summoned Shamrock and Gunko.

Imu, both the elders and Imu have a DF. Imu is just the devilish equivalent of the Nika fruit. I would assume that Imu got immortality from the Ope fruit, while his mythical power has the ability to bestow eternal life upon its targets, or for that matter to return them. Or in some other way shape or form linking the source (Imu) with its targets (elders) and since he has eternal life, the Gorosei also profit from it.

Kaido was very strong but don't twist the chapter words for your agenda. Gaban and the others I don't think were afraid of Kaido as a single entity but as all the crew he had on wano.

Gaban is strong but still can't fight everyone on his own, sure not against all the gifters and the Kaido crew.

Some people really need drawings to figure out the "not that subtle" things in this manga.

Even if Old Gaban is weaker than Kaido, which he most likely is, his statement doesn’t equate to Gaban being scared of him 💀. In the first place it would be a bit daft for him to just waltz into Wano for sight seeing with Kaido & his whole army there. Moreover Gaban has apparently been on Elbaf for 20 years so he’s most likely there for a reason but well folks will run with whatever they like I guess 😂
