People will cope about how Luffy won unfairly(like every other villain) but Kizaru and Gaban say it clearly, he is the man who beat Kaido. meanwhile no one has ever said something like wow, Luffy beat Kaido with the help of Zoro/Yamato etc, the portrayal is clear.
