I always said Ray vs Roger is an extreme diff fight so I feel vindicated. Oda has always done well to show Ray as a Yonkou+ lvl figure. In his intro Garp placed him in the same breath as Whitbeard, that's Garp of all people, the dude who knows Roger's strength best.
Ray has been certified and stamped years ago, so this is no surprise to me. Oda wanks Ray like he's the Shanks of the old gen any chance he gets.
Never in a million years was I expecting Gaban to join the fray though...Gaban had no focus whatsoever, barely any presence and then bam out of nowhere he is also being placed on the same pedestal as Roger. There's nothing even remotely comparable to this situation in any modern crew. These mfers were moving more like the 3 Admirals.

The last passage is being translated as being on par with Roger. Lmfao being on par with Roger as a legend makes far less sense because not even WB is on par with the Pirate King himself as a legendary figure. You're out of excuses.

Roger > Rayleigh > Gaban wasn't altered. But Gaban has now been put in a "legendary" pedestal, and with that comes a top tier status. Which is obviously guaranteed for Sanji as well, given that he parallels Gaban for this gen.
Gaban vs Oden has also become very interesting.
Oden was part of Whitebeard's crew and only travelled with Roger for a while under specific circumstances, also it has been said that Rayleigh and Gaban were exceptionally stronger than the other crew members (and I don't see Gaban being "exceptionally stronger" than Oden)...so I don't really think Oden was included in this statement.
But regardless, it's quite possible that even Gaban might be stronger than Oden.
