Top 10 best and worst anime of 2024 (in my subjective and biased opinions) + explanations.
Best watch:
10. Blue Lock Season 2 (now I know Studio Eightbit absolutely burns this shitshow of an anime into PNG Lock/Frame Lock for like 10 episodes straight despite Blue Lock being the best selling manga of 2023 and this is what we get lol, but the last two episodes was so peak that it makes me forgive 8bit, they just didn't have enough time to do it but they clearly have the budget, hopefully in season 3 of Blue Lock where they adapting Neo Egoist League arc will be done justice). Time will tell.
9. Brave Bang Bravern (looks like a gay bait mecha sci-fi anime at first, but the story and fights was so fucking good, I think this show was the most popular watch in some Japanese tv channel or something like that, so good for them, I enjoyed this show a lot than I initially thought). Dropped in the first two eps then decided to give it another chance and I got hooked after 3 episodes lol.
8. Kaiju No.8 (no pun intended, I really liked this show, a show about Kaiju is not something you see nowadays in modern shounen, pretty funny and quirky show, great fighting animation as expected from Production I.G., and most importantly, the MC is not annoying. Kikoru is best girl while Hoshina is best boi). Can't wait for season 2 in July along with Dandadan.
7. The Ossan Newbie Adventurer (For me, this is the best hidden gem of 2024, fantastic and hilarious show, unc adventure is just so peak, Reanette and Angelica carries this anime, especially Angelica's facial expressions are cunny as hell lol).
6. Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! (The best romcom for me this year outside of maybe Bokuyaba S2, this show makes My Dress-Up Darling look like hotshit in comparison. I'll never get tired of Yanami eating lobsters). And there's a YouTube video of Yanami's calories tracking called "How much does this fat loser eat?" on YT Lmao. Shikiyo is best girl for me.
5. KonoSuba Season 3 (Ah yes, the most degenerate and funniest brainrot Isekai ever. Love the Kazuma gang, love the obvious and funny Chris/Eris sideplot, Iris is a cute imouto and best girl Darkness once again steals the show especially the wedding scene Lmao). We got two Isekai weddings "kidnappings" in the same year, this with Kazuma and Darkness and Subaru and Emilia from Re:Zero, love it lol.
4. Re:Zero Season 3 Cour 1 (Peak Isekai of all time, Subaru the GOAT Isekai MC, my babe Emilia-tan, and my Dawg Reinhard back in glorious forms, however this is just a set-up arc for Cour 2 which is the best part of Arc 5 so nothing too major happening in the first 8 eps. Subaru's speech at the end was dope as fuck. From Zero to a Hero indeed. And who is Rem again? Lmao. Sirius's and Capella's voice actresses Anzai Chika and Aoi Yuuki stole the show with their top tier voice acting once again. But yeah, like I said, this was just a set-up arc against Witch's Cult assault so nothing big here).
3. Solo Leveling (SL is not just an action fest anime, it has an insane lore and story later on, but props to A-1 Pictures for creating a beautiful Manhwa adaptation of this). Aura Farmer Sung Drip Woo as always.
2. Dandadan (it's a fun goofy anime, great artstyle for an anime and obviously great animation for a Shounen), episode 7 of Acrobatic Silky was so peak that it makes a horny man like me started crying like Choso from JJK. Aira is best girl for me. Looking forward to season 2 alongside Kaiju No.8 S2.

1. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (no surprise here, absolute peak fiction). It has everything, insane fighting animation, great story and lore, beautiful art, fabulous soundtrack and top tier voice acting. Nuff said. Ubel >>> Your favs btw.
And the worst watch of 2024 (Oh man, this one is gonna be fun lol):
10. Plus Sized Elf (And we got our first body positivity the anime lol. Fat elves it's over.ππ)
9. Metallic Rouge (For the supposed 25th anniversary of studio Bones, this anime sure as hell didn't deliver, confusing and garbage story, the only things this anime has to offer are hot girls, good fighting animation and banger soundtrack wasted, but unlike Bucchigiri, this anime at least has good OST, hence why I put this anime just right below Bucchigiri).
8. Bucchigiri (this anime is the example of having good fighting animation doesn't mean the story will be good. The story is non-existent and the MC is an unbearable simp pussy ass loser. This is Mappa's worst anime yet).
7. Unnamed Memory (Everything was fine until Oscar touches that blue orb and proceeds to erase his own universe and his memory with Tinasha and has to save Tinasha from a different timeline so we can suffer in season 2 without OG Oscar and Tinasha, if this ain't the biggest oopsie in anime, I don't know what is. And of course it's Engi studio we're talking about here, so them ruining another light novel adaptation is to be expected.
6. Gods' Games We Play (Goddamn Lidenfilms, never failed to disappoint me when it comes to delivering hot garbage anime, this anime got the Liar Liar treatment. Not even Akari Kitou and Sora Amamiya could save this anime).
5. The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party, Is, in Fact, the Strongest (I legit can sleep through this anime and I probably wouldn't miss a single shit, that's how dogshit this anime was. Studio elle, y'all fucked up yet again).
4. The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases (Ah yes, another banished trope anime that got shit on, I gotta thank you to Studio Deen and MarvyJack for once again, destroying another anime with their piss poor animation, terrible plot and insane amount of skipped contents and just overall no love or passion on this anime. Thanks a lot lol). Only the cute girls somewhat carries this anime but that's like asking them to carry 10 tons elephant each of atrocity of this anime without breaking their backs, that shit's impossible lol). I feel bad for Akari Kitou for casting in here. Another role of her wasted.
3. True Beauty (what the actual fuck is this? Like come on now Korea, y'all can do better than this).
2. Ninja Kamui (Episode 1 starts off very strong, the action was insane, motherfuckers were saying it was even better than Solo Leveling, and look how it turns out at the end, the final fight turns into Berserk 2016 level "animation" Lmao. I guess that's what happens when you don't have Mappa animators work overtime lol. Coldrain wasted their banger of an opening song on this hot steam pile of piss of an anime).

- A Condition Called Love (one of the worst romcoms of 2024, not even Kana Hanazawa could save the anime)
- Mysterious Disappearances (got ruined due to nudity censorship)
- Whisper Me a Love Song (Delays ruin the hype, horrendous production behind the scenes)
- Vampire Dormitory (Crossdressing reverse harem done wrong)
- Highspeed Etoile (CGI anime from studio A-Cat of all things)
- The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord's Army Was a Human (another one from studio A-Cat)
- Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? (Project No.9 didn't cook this shit, they fucking burned it)
- A Nobody's Way Up to an Exploration Hero (Garbage piss)
- Love Is Indivisible by Twins (Story and love triangle so trash that not even Maaya Uchida could save this anime)
- Mayonaka Punch (strong start but disappointed by the ending)
- Tasuketsu (classic Satelight studio)
- Rick and Morty the Anime (Why? Like just why?)
- Seirei Gensouki Season 2 (Season 1 was peak, Season 2 was filler horseshit, half of the season was just Slime level table meetings except that it's not even about lore or world building, then the final fight was unconcluded and shit, the dragon was just a bait lol).
- Goodbye, Dragon Life (Classic Lidenfilms anime)

Phew, lot of hot garbage going through, but I already know my worst anime of the year is.
1. Uzumaki (one of the most anticipated Junji Ito's works since 2019 announcement and got delayed so many times just to deliver only the first episode of peak and the last three episodes were atrocious. I have not seen an anime fell off this hard in history ever). Most garbage anime of the year.
Holy fucking shit, I watched WAY too many anime in a single year lol. 100+ anime watched in 2024 Lmao.

Best Watch: Delicious in Dungeon. I know frieiren is probably one of the greatest Fantasy anime to come out but fuck, the world building of the monsters in Delicious in Dungeon and the humor was right up my alley.
Worst watch: Gods Games We Play. Like I like trash anime to laugh at but this was just bad.
