what Luffy and Zoro dynamics? there is more emotional value to them than the idea of them being even in power
if you want a proof, don't look further than Wano, after the Supernova 5 vs Yonkos, Zoro ended up with Kaido's right hand man and almost died to them. Luffy ended up with Kaido and even died to him. King looked up to Kaido.
That's clear nr 1 and nr 2 dynamics within the matchups. Even if Wano hyped up Zoro and Luffy standing side by side. It was just an emotional hype tool after the crew got splitted up.

This is just an argument I had with @Blazing Lion sometime last year.
Lots of similar ones to count at this point.
I dont even remember the actual argument but I think the gist of it was that I think Luffy and Zoro neck and neck (as per many different canon and secondary sources (manga, databook, vc, official site) in terms of power level throughout the story and are a level ahead of Sanji. It is true though that Zoros opponents are closer to Sanjis in portrayal and/or power compared to Luffys though it does not equate to reflecting Zoro and Sanji power level. So yes there is a Luffy/Zoro duo, there is a Zoro/Sanji duo and I think there is now also somewhat of a Sanji/Jinbe duo (Sanji shown getting pissed about it twice). Then there is the M3 and the weak trio and the childish trio (Luffy/Usopp and Chopper). There are all different types of duos and trios in the crew with different dynamics.
