My only problem with this is that Shanks shivered Groot's timbers in that same chapter! but you could say that Greenbull was just complying with what the blonde gorosei said.. portrayal would say otherwise tho.
The reason why I bring up Marine Ford is that to think that Admirals were gathered to face a foe like WB should have been a testament to what being a Yonko is narratively speaking to us reader and logically it should have played oit the way it was set up . If you now look back at the war it takes away alot of that suspense if you consider how inactive Admirals were and how even tho they could achieve so much with their caliber they just stood by when luffy escaped, Shanks came, Law infiltrated, BB came and went.
To make it make sense you you gotta assume that Commanders held the Admirals back.. Top 3 commanders especially..
How can Aokiji beat Yamato?
Freezing her doesn't work, she can tank thunder baguas with her head and block nukes with her ice, Aokiji's ice melts from regular fire, haki...
Isn't Admirals being equivalent or greater comparatively to the Yonko in caliber be a loophole given if that was the case Admirals would have taken over the pirate world already knowing that they have handful Admiral candidates on 3 solid admirals + their chief.
That wouldn't make sense narratively...because Marineford war exists..
The WG already does control most of the world though. They just lack an influence in the new world(not entirely but mostly). However, it was like that before the Yonko came into existence as well.
Why would Oda give Gaban an L in his introduction?, that's has never happened before. Don't worry, he'll look impressive. As long as you don't expect him to straight up one shot G5 Luffy who he obviously can't beat at this stage of his life. Oda isn't going to randomly treat an old legend put with Roger and Ray like shit, don't fall for the gaslighting. The hint is good news for the Gyabster.
