The only reason Luffy beat Kaido is because Oda boosted Luffy's plot armor to astronomical levels, much like against Katakuri.

The only reason that happen is because he had use luffy as hype tool as much as possible.
I got show off kaido so he got OHKO gear 4 luffy but i got show Kaido off even more so luffy got get KO to get a power up every KO.
Like the man could just given luffy Awaken and ACoC the same time but nope .

The implication is that the chapter was called Conqueror's Haki, Luffy assesses that you can infuse things with CoC and in the very next panel displays high speed movement faster than anything he's displayed before. The only power-up Luffy got in 1010 was ACoC and somehow he got faster - you do the math.

Yes exactly, aCOC was introduced as a stronger COA that finally allow Luffy to truly hurt Kaido. Why would infusing his fist with aCOC make him faster??

What changed is Luffy mindset from unlocking a new power. Just like when he blitzed Kaido in chapter 1000 to show his aCoA

People downplay base luffy when same base luffy tank kaido attacks easily that same attack one shot act 1 luffy who defeated katakuri who is yc1 level.

1037 is base luffy. Wano base luffy literally sky split with hybrid kaido mean base luffy is yonko level.
