Gearless Luffy went from struggling against Blueno to boxing with base Lucci within a few hours back in EL (who blitzed and negged Franky who defeated an opponent with a similar amount of Doriki as Blueno), him adapting to his opponent from fighting them is nothing new. Reaction time =/= speed

He even used his fastest attack mode to tag Kizaru and then finally needed to go into his fastest mode but NEVER ONCE thought about using aCoC when it would've helped him to immediately tag Kizaru or at least give him the chance.

Gaban pulling out a Katakuri against no G5 Luffy Is already something that Kaido didn't do. You have to look at Kizaru for that.

But Kaido did pull out a Kat vs luffy fastest move in dragon from in G4.
