Going from speaking human and Giant mixing to non human mixed race is the big issue here.. If Gaban turns out to not be Colon's biological father, you have to say that Zoro doesn't have AdCoC..

Now remember, I'm talking about the traditional "war" type arcs where the crew get 1v1s, like in Arlong park or Alabasta or Ennies lobby or Wano. Would Gaban still be fought in a group battle?, is this what Oda would write?.

That's the reader's perspective. We heard similar things about FS too, and it's baseline is currently Katakuri from the author's perspective. So we can say Yamato's probably the baseline for what Oda perceives as a handful of the very strongest. Forget these 3, even Zoro isn't up there with the legends yet, which I've been preaching for a long time, and even he has ACoC. To his credit, his AP is at least top-tier though.

I mean I don't see why not. Gaban does have an attack that's army based for fighting lots of people. Didn't get the moniker of clearing trees becuase he was fighting hundreds of fodder pirates?

So he has already been used as an example of the 3rd person of the crew being used to fight mutiple people

But to answer your question if it's 1v1 he is fighting yamato

No he wasn’t that pet snake to Luffy was like lucci, Gaban was like Kizaru who Luffy had to spend more energy on but he realized he was unable to do shit in any form other than G5 hence the instant G5 activation
