Aside from a few of giant pirates getting bodied, no major fight is happening against Loki next chapter.

The objective is to talk about Shanks, Loki will give up the info about shamrock as well. I think he would most likely make a deal with Luffy that he will handle Shamrock and the other HK himself

This is the most likely scenario. I think Oda is just playing with our expectations again. Whenever someone mentions Loki it's always something negative, right? And what we know from him is that he was exiled and an outcast. Luffy freeing him might be the first actual "act of kindness" he's basically ever experienced. Why would he have any incentive to be a good person if nobody ever treated him with fairness or kindness?

"He killed his father, he's a monster." Is a valid argument but we don't know about the extent of their relationship or the circumstances surrounding it.

With each passing arc, Zoro becomes more and more cowardly; striking a dying prisoner's wound was a new low of catastrophic proportions. Imagine worshipping such a petty character.
It might not be "cowardly". His "curse", and relationship with death might culminate into him losing his sense of humanity, his ability to feel compassion. Creating an even starker contrast between him and Sanji.
