Why does it have to be Sanji? Oda always baffles me with the mishandling of someone he builds up to be so much more and it sucks
It just is what it is tbh

I don’t agree with it but I cope with it by viewing it as a sign of respect

He’s strong and Oda acknowledges that by using him as a measuring stick

“If they can beat Sanji then they’re a serious threat” is what he’s trying to establish

Still not great if you’re a fan of the character though

The difference is the main time this was used (Doffy) was when Sanji was separated from the group. This time Sanji Luffy and Zoro are all together meaning either Luffy and Zoro leave suddenly, all 3 get hypetooled, or Loki gets put down.

Of the three I think the all 3 get hype tooled is most likely.
