Apples and oranges.

One is portrayed as a legitimate ninja and antagonist trained to kill, ambush and deceive (but who doesn't like killing) and who gradually reached his lowest point, having a psychotic episode after coming face to face with one of those responsible for the genocide of his family. Neither the fandom nor the author glosses over his flaws.

The other is supposedly a good guy with no nuance whatsoever who lives and dies by his sword and honor, but doesn't behave like one most of the time.
Sasuke is far better written than discount store Guts, who doesn't even have a real reason for becoming the World's Strongest Swordsman
