In retrospect, they should've all had some form of it after the timeskip. Fuck it, they were headed to the New World. Why not at least have them show up as:
  • Luffy - CoC, CoA & CoO
  • Zoro - CoA & CoO
  • Nami - CoO
  • Usopp - CoA (unlocking CoO on Dressrosa)
  • Sanji - CoA * CoO
  • Chopper - CoA
  • Robin - CoA and/or CoO (unlocking one or the other by Wano)
  • Franky - CoA
  • Brook - CoA
If not after the timeskip, this is what it should've been at least by the time we got to Wano. At this point, I just want them to have it regardless on panel training or vague explanations expounded upon in SBS.

As for the difficulty distinguishing the kinds of Haki - I believe that is entirely deliberate because Oda's historically never quite made up his mind about Haki and it's a power system he's been developing and changing in real time since its introduction.

Certainly more creative.

That said, I've fucking love the concept of Haki at its most basic.

What I don't like about it is how Oda's gone off the rails with CoC and advanced forms. Future Sight is a cool concept implented terribly. It should be an extremely rare ability, perhaps even unique to one person if not extremely few - not something that can be attained by just anyone. Armament Haki is a fucking mess, I don't even know where to start. CoC was great up until it started to become some "God has a plan for you" Chosen Ones bullshit power.

Haki was better when it was more simplified, with certain advanced abilities being attainable and certain rare ones unique to individuals - think along the lines of Nen or unique Force powers.

This is how I currently perceive, the rankings in tiers. The order of names is not relevant.

Tier 1 | Joyboy, Roger, Imu, White Beard, Kaido, Shanks, Luffy, Blackbeard, Mihawk, Big Mom, Rocks,
Tier 2 | Gorosei, Dragon, Akainu, Oden, Shiki,
