I see a parallel here.

The most disliked episode of Solo Leveling is the episode where Jinwoo revived his mom and Jinwoo cries.

The most disliked episode of Re:Zero is the episode where Wilheim's and Theresia's story finally concluded and Wilheim broke down in tears for her.

Both happens to be an emotional episodes.

While action filled episodes like Garfield vs Kurgan and Jinwoo vs Demon Monarch Baran are highly praised.

I wonder why?:suresure:

Holy Simp
There can be only one choice:

It will be hard for me to rizz her up but the fact that Priscilla used to have eight husbands, I was like, "Okay, I might have a chance to fix her."

So yea, Priscilla-sama for the win.:BigW: If she asks me to be her chair 24/7 I would gladly do so.:goyea:
did you really expect me to pick anyone else other than Pirscilla??
fucking betas lmao

cuz people's standards are getting lower and all they want is unga bunga...the same goes for One Piece, people gas up a Zoro feat against someone, but once there is some deep Zoro character insight people start coping and powerscaling for no reason, just because they can't handle actual story anymore

people are getting dumber and dumber, told ya years ago lmao

I blame Gen Z anime fans tbh. All they want is aura farming action slop and not good story telling and character writings nowadays unfortunately.

Not sure I would say the anime fans of the past were smarter or had better taste but perhaps the percentage of devoted fans was higher. With devotion you get more a person who can offer more in-depth knowledge on all the various nuances of that topic. They will have a greater understanding of the culture (anime and Japan), supplementary media (manga, light novels, visual novels etc.) and origins on anime which is something you wouldn't get nearly as often from a more casual fans who doesn't generally go below the surface level. It is this same level of commitment where a dedicated fan can offer a more comprehensive review of said anime. Kinda the difference between from a professional reviewer and asking Joe six pack for an opinion down the local pub.

I would also add that certain mediums encourage more in-depth responses so if you went to a forum you are more likely to get a detailed response than if you asked/seek the same question through an instant message platform or social media. Do these things factors make people smarter? Not really but they can and do result in completely different experiences and responses. As the anime community grows larger, that means there are more casuals who just look for simple and fast entertainment like fights. I would say this happens in every type of material, including music, technology and so on. Most consumers are casuals, and the higher amount of consumers, the higher the amount of casuals, while "experts" on single matters and fewer in number.

Anime getting more mainstream is a double edged blade. The more an anime is popular, it attracts more people with different philosophy and thinking, making it more polar and diverse.

And when you gather enough bad seeds, it becomes overpopulated and uncontrollable. That's why you see casual anime fans or should I say "anime tourists" in this case, making weird assumptions that wouldn't logically make sense for the anime in the first place.

Look at Haruhi from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya for example, modern anime "fans" now calling you "Diddy" for liking the show Lmao.

It's supposed to be 22 eps and adapt all of arc VI, which I heard is one of the best arcs in the series. Can't wait!
It's not one of the best, it's the BEST arc in all of Re:Zero. As a LN reader, I can affirm it. When season 4 drops, it will break the internet. Absolute Cinema will be everywhere.
it will mark the halfway point of the series iirc

author stated once there will be 11 arcs or so iirc
Tappei originally planned 11 arcs total. We're in Arc 9 currently but some arcs are a bit long so Tappei separated them into different arcs and Tappei also added unplanned arcs which I'm not gonna spoil.

What about the IF stories? Would love to see them adapted, specially the IF: Sloth one
