Back when One Piece actually felt like an adventure story, it has lost so much of its soul.

Anyway, I'm not an Elbaf hater or anything(this new chapter is boring as shit though), but its pretty clear that adventure and natural mystery is just not really a focus in OP anymore, and Oda is more interested in like, a broader story about all these major players clashing. I do find it disappointing in some ways

Kuzan obviously isn't prime Garp level in general but he likely does have the same level of physical strength as him

People should focus on Garp insane haki that is likely top 3 to put him above. But denying him and Kuzan being portrayed to have similar raw striking strenght after Oda specifically drew Kuzan's punch progressively matching the sound of Garp's after years of training together with haki/abilities off is silly. It's generic "apprentice finally reached the level of his master" (in this particular area at least) storytelling, there's no much room for interpretation really.
I think some people drank the df merchants kool aid too much ngl

I guess some people are glad we are seeing characters like Shanks, Blackbeard, Gorosei,Garp, Kuzan actually do stuff in recent(post Wano) years, and are mostly now interested in seeing the same with Dragon and Mihawk and whoever else, but I kind of just want Elbaf to be the SH's last major adventure, meaning it should be done properly.

Yeah I wish we got a bit more of them exploring Elbaf and seeing all the various animals and food.
Right now it seems like they're going to be too busy with fighting off the Holy Knights and maybe another antagonist.
Also, why did the Holy Knights even come there? Or specifically come there at that exact time

I think current Kuzan can beat Garp 1 on 1, so not sure what you're going on about.

I'm just saying in terms of physical strength, Kuzan is strong, but there's nothing there that proves he's "Garp level". Garp trained him to a strong level, but in an all out clash fist-to-fist Garp would win.

In terms of strength, that was what the battleship scene proved. Garp told him that any use of haki is prohibited so Kuzan was implied to reach that level of raw physical power as what a prime Garp can do.

Brannew’s line tells you all you need to know about Kuzan and Garp’s strength.
