i know stargate's role loses 90% of it's effectiveness after it's outed, my question was more about the value of the role pre-rand, i.e you're putting more stocks on a census, which could easily be scum claim, over an elaborate pro-town indie claim, which could also be a fake, but less potential to be contrived.

if scum has the census then town can obtain that census via mafia relaying it to stargate for example, among other things that stargate's role can potentially do

what you're doing here is essentially going for "least damage to town outcome" over going for "more damaging to scum outcome". it's weak. you not having scum reads kinda falls in line with it
