IMO Oda showed the Marines talking about Cross Guild while the 3 other Seraphim were attacking an island, because the actual intro for S-Gecko, S-Croc, and S-Flamingo will be Cross Guild's first operation as a unit.

S-Gecko and Mihawk is Shadow vs Gothic Man, S-Croc vs Croc is just too fun not to happen, and S-Flamingo fights Buggy, because Buggy is actually able to survive Doffy's String Fruit attacks due to his weird ass endurance/Fruit.
It's possible we see them clash before Cross Guild moves on Wano, though, and S-Gecko, S-Croc, and S-Flamingo attacking Emptee Bluffs is what forces Cross Guild to relocate to Wano to begin with.
This then places all of the Seraphim near Wano for Teach's Pluton attack
