What is missing is lack of good and intimidating villains, also so far there is still no main villain yet.
Some are still debating on whether Loki will be a villain or not, and as for the three Holy Knights, they are for now ok villains.
Meanwhile the Egghead arc had these two along with Lucci and the rest of the Elders.
And say what you want about Saturn being a bum, but at least he was a intimidating villain in the beginning compare that to the Holy Knights.
