We know Fruits/Haki use a tangible resource.
Law's Fruit has shown time and time again that it drains his stamina.
Law and Kidd straight up said that they were saving their Awakenings while fighting Big Mom because they drain their energy
Logia = Burning energy to avoid physical damage.
Haki = Burning Haki/energy to avoid physical damage
Abyss Regeneration = Unlimited Regen
The fact that Logia users constantly choose to dodge using their Fruit, rather than use Haki, shows that for Top Tiers, Haki burns through energy/stamina faster than using the Logia.
We even see this with Katakuri: he prefers to use his Mochi (originally a Logia, now a Special Paramecia) to dodge, rather than use Haki to absorb blows. So, using your Fruit to avoid attacks is better than tanking them with Haki.
We see this again with Luffy avoiding Lucci's attacks, rather than simply blocking them. So, in terms of what uses more energy, it's, from wasting the most energy, to wasting the least:
1: Haki (Kizaru uses Haki against G4 when he can't dodge it)
2: Logia/Paramecia (Kizaru/Luffy using their Fruits to avoid attacks, rather than burn Haki)
3: Abyss Regen (Saturn and Gunko can take lethal damage without having to worry about guarding or dodging at all)
We alredy know Logias prefer to use their Fruit to dodge, rather than block with Haki.
Why in the actual fuck would the God's Knights/Gorosei waste Haki blocking, when they have INFINITE REGEN? If they have infinite ability to Regen, they'd be DUMB AS ROCKS to not use it in combat.
The solution? More Haki.
We saw this from Joy Boy's Rope Emeth used: Luffy in Gear 5 couldn't touch Warcury, while Joy Boy's Haki yeeted him back to the Holy Land.
Like Kaido said: Haki reigns supreme.
So, we haven't seen a fighter in the modern era with enough Haki to damage the Gorosei/God's Knights. This is why they have scars; from when they fought people with Haki that could pierce their defenses.
The OG Gorosei were scarred by Joy Boy's crew/Joy Boy.
Garing was scarred by someone on God Valley, probably Rocks, to further the Teach/Shanks scar-fest.
Shanks/Whitebeard/Mihawk are true threats to the WG because they have enough Haki to actually damage their Top Tiers, the same way Joy Boy's Haki was strong enough to defeat Imu's Abyss in Egghead with Emeth.
This is why I believe Shanks is still in Heaven World:
1. Loki said he knows where Shanks is, meaning he's on the island (unless Loki is lying, but Luffy doesn't think so, and Luffy has fuck-you levels of CoO and VoA at this point). Only place we haven't gone is Heaven World; this is where Shanks is. The Celestial Dragon is in the Holy Land = Heaven World.
2. Shanks said he would meet Luffy when Luffy is a Great Pirate. Luffy is there.
3. Shanks one-upping Shamrock by taking out the God's Knights is the kind of Shanks' wank we've been getting post Onigashima.
Gaban has enough Haki to fuck with God's Knights, and I think we'll see him injure one before Colun nerfs his dad, as Dragon warned Kuma; children are a parent's weak spot.
Considering that Shanks is a father (Makino's baby) and raised Luffy like a son, and was raised by Roger, I think Shanks is going to fuck up Sommers once Sommers messed with Colun/Scopper.
God's Knights SHOULD NOT have fucked with Shanks' territory, they're gonna regret that shit.
