Luffy was a Yonko after he beat Kaido, he and Buggy were made to replace Big Mom and Kaido instantly, Luffy just didn't know because he was sleeping
You are correct it was not instantly but it happen very soon after .
Still it was while they still were recovery as shanks said so which is smart lol .

This Yonko crew really looks like a bunch of pushovers. Jimbe better figure something out next chapter and join Robin and Gaban.
Luffy, Zoro and Sanji better not be involved with this at all, them saving the entire crew would really suck and make the rest of the crew completely useless.
Robin and Brook will save them

Wonder where this is all leading now... Will the HK succeed, and then what? Mary Geoise raid arc?

Will they fail but still accomplish their main objective? Will the giants then turn on the Straw Hats?

Will they completely fail and then what?? All tension gone unless the Heavn Realm houses another great threat and Shamrock + at least half a dozen other knights show up. Maybe Peter and Garling accompanied by Aramaki as well.

Will Oda throw a curve ball and have Cross Guild or the Revolutionaries pop out of nowhere?

One thing I like about this arc is that anything's possible.

Yep: Clover was right. What threatens the WG most is education. They want the Giants to be mindless, because they fear their might combined with knowledge.

Reminds me of rich people in real life

Edit: Gillingham looks very... sorrowful here.

Ange really shouldn't have said that: now the God's Knights have to prioritize destroying Ohara remnants, too.

IMO Robin is in a bad spot: Sommers knows she's there, and is going to use Thorns on Robin, so that her being inside Saul and touching Chopper hurts both of them.

Look at Sommer's face: he senses Robin's presense. Man can conceal his presence from everyone not named Gyaban on the island. Sommers is going to do some more evil soon.

Imo the GK will not succeed of bringing the children out to the sea because they will have to sail the opposite direction to Lodestar.

But I think it will be more interesting that all 10 children actually on a boat together sailing out as their first adventure. Will be a short distance at least which create more tension on their fight with Gaban and the strawhats.

I think Killingham is above Sommmers in authority: Killingham has been polite up till now, but Sommers' suggesting taking back Yonkou crewmembers of Luffy was enough for Killingham to snap and straight up call Sommer's a dolt:

Sommers was fine with bringing back the Straw Hats, until Killingham spoke up.

IMO, Sommers is stronger, or close to as strong, but Killingham has a higher rank because Gunko and Sommers are selfish and deviate from the mission. Gunko is trying to turn a Skeleton Pirate Rock Star into her personal Mozart, and Sommers is just... kinda unhinged.

Killingham is by far the most competent person here, the only one prioritizing the mission.

Sommers only snaps at Gunko AFTER Killingham reprimanded him: Sommers was pissed Killingham corrected him, and took it out on Gunko, IMO:

I believe Killingham is an inherently kind individual: he looked sad, when he said they had to wake the kids up from their dreams.

Perhaps Killingham pities slaves, and uses his powers to give Mary Geoise children sweet dreams? That's cool, I love Killingham, seems like a future traitor to the WG. We'll see.

Gunko's trying to get Boned, Sommers is trying to get kids to murder their parents:

Killingham is carrying the God's Knights, man is a boss

they all seem to be equal portrayal aside from shamrock

Gunko's reaction is WEIRD here.

Gunko: "And if refusal means forfeiting your life?"
Brook: "I would sooner embrace death, than live without honor."

Immediately after kicking Brook in anger, Gunko puts her hand over her heart: his words PAINED her heart.

I believe Gunko is Victoria, Kidd's Childhood Friend. She was a tsundere, in that she attacked Kidd and Killer after spilling Curry Udon broth on her.

Victoria had to choose between dying, or surviving by joining the God's Knights.

New World is her quiet rebellion: Gunko's dream of wanting to be Free, and see Kidd again. Gunko wants the world Brook is dreaming of, but is too weak to fight for it.

Time for Kidd to save the kids
