At least I can tell what the fuck is happening in this video. I’m not a huge fan of this animation style but it doesn’t look completely awful. Gear 5 vs Kizaru just looks completely irredeemable.
One Piece animation peaked in the Marineford-PH era, and even this doesn’t look amazing. Crazy how fucking hard talent and technology has regressed since then.

You have literally zero idea what you are talking about at all.
There are definitely some issues with readability in some of Vincent’s cuts, but the overall skill on display is on a completely different level to Marineford and Punk Hazard.
We are so spoiled these days guys scoff even at Shida’s work, which was really the pinnacle(along with two or three other animators) of One Piece animation back during that period.
The animation quality for the series is in a completely different league than it was back then.
Even something like Bonney fighting the marines this episode was more animated than Smoker than Smoker vs Vergo.
I feel like with the anime there's two sides - either you enjoy the sheer flashy craftsmanship or you hate it for how sparkly and ostentatious it is.
I'm leaning towards the first in this case because Luffy v Kizaru - really, most EH fights in general - was not good at all in the manga.
So I approve of their additions. I liked the creativity with the Kizaru vs Giant Luffy fight, and the fact that it's Kizaru makes the shininess pretty forgivable.
That said I kinda liked Zoro v Lucci better because it felt awesome while being a bit more....impactful, I guess? Idk how to describe it.

This dude is the normiest of normie who thinks the more shit you add to the screen and the more wiggly it is, that means it's good animation
I at least agree that it's on "different league" as in, literal abomination that should be not seen by sane people otherwise their brain will leak out from nonsensical shit on the screen.
What do you mean? The only effects really were around Kizaru’s light particles, and it wasn’t anything terribly flashy. It was very subdued in comparison to Vincent’s scene.
Rewatch that scene(Luffy going giant to Luffy realising Kizaru is in the building) and tell me exactly what about it was extra?
it didn’t.use impact frames. It didn’t use extra colours. The main effects were around Kizaru’s particles acting with semi realistic physics.

No, I mean, following the principles of animation. Camera work. Draftsmanship. Layouts. Storyboards.
All of which are considerably more technically impressive nowadays than back then.
If anything, I’m think you are demonstrating your fundamental ignorance of animation in your posts.
I actually can be pretty balanced with how I critique scenes for their readability. I think that Akihiro Ota’s scene, which directly follows Vincent’s is a lot better because it is far more readable.
For reference, Ota’s scene is everything from Luffy becoming a giant to him seeing Kizaru inside the lab building.
I struggle to see how that scene is difficult to read. It’s not flashy or particularly colourful at all.
Ota’s scene is everything after that with Luffy becoming a giant, swatting the Kizaru’s on his arm, blowing them away, and hitting them with his Stamp at the end.
