I'll tell you what I like about the clone scene. It gave the clones way more freedom in what they could do. Previously I wasn't sure if they can really fight independent from Kizaru but the anime made it look like that.

Either way. I'll pretend this is canon in the battledome for why Oden is getting dogwalked by that move (can't counter it with aoe).

meanwhile they made him in the anime fight ALONGSIDE his clones (he only teleported to the lab after Goofy kicked him along with the clones) , thus making whole sequence looking way weaker especially since they extended the fight into that garbage long vomit.

At least I can tell what the fuck is happening in this video. I’m not a huge fan of this animation style but it doesn’t look completely awful. Gear 5 vs Kizaru just looks completely irredeemable.

One Piece animation peaked in the Marineford-PH era, and even this doesn’t look amazing. Crazy how fucking hard talent and technology has regressed since then.

OP just doesnt need Sakuga overly flashy stuff. I cringed so hard at the Garp and Shanks big dbz Haki scenes, though you cant even blame toei entirely for that. It´s literally what Oda portrays
