The reason Luffy wanted to become a pirate is because he brought a kid who has no male role model (absent dad, Grandpa shows up for two days once a year) around his group of killers and pillagers.
Then instead of telling him this isn't a good thing he encouraged him to pursue this path.
Even the worst scumbag criminals usually discourage young people to follow in their path IRL.
Watch all those guys in prison telling kids to stick to school.

Why do you waste your time responding to such bad bait? Shanks has been portrayed absolutely perfectly in terms of both character and strength and his desperate haters live off dirt and mud so they create headcanon to slander him. Stop giving them attention lol. Shanks haters are low life clowns that have to stoop to schizophrenia to find meanings in their sad lives and hating on a perfect character, something they could never achieve irl. Lol.
