I wanted that fight, but Kizaru has always been my favourite Admiral and he turned out to be much more complex that I thought.
Even though, tbh, now I can't see how Oda can write him as a villain anymore. I mean, Marines were always grey at worst since they do It for Justice and to protect people in theory, but now Kizaru simply saved Luffy. How can he be a serious villian in the future?

Add toei to the Admiral agenda after this ep they straight up ommitted Kizaru huffing and sweating while Luffy was out of breath sweating like a pig.
I don't think I've ever seen Gear 5 like this, toei did really go out of their way to show how much strain it is keeping even an extremely casual Kizaru at bay.
Wish the fight scene was extended more but I can't complain too much, last ep was the best animated in the series and this ep was a pure agenda upgrade. Anime onlies rn are genuinely asking what it takes for Kizaru to start actually trying if not even G5 can do so 😂
I expect the pizza scene to maybe sway some back but maybe toei really adds context to that to show how broken Kizaru already was, or even hints at him feeding Luffy. 2025 and the casual fanbase finally starting to understand Kizaru top 1 . Akainu gotta show how he's beating this monster this was him just messing around and beating Luffy by mistake lmfao.

I don't want to dunk too hard on Kuzan but Kizaru rn genuinely looks like he can mid diff him. He had G5 Luffy working like a mule with some clones and some casual beams, the dude had hands in his pockets for half the cuts fighting a fucking Yonkou and taking him to his limit 😭
He even aura farmed while taking WSG lmaooo. The way Garp was manhandling Kuzan, if you substitute G5 for Garp, Kuzan is being ragdolled for the entire duration based off what he's shown. Get that dude some feats and fast.

Bumzaru "the fastest in the verse" couldn't track Luffy for a straight minute as Luffy maniacally laughs.
Gear 5 Luffy with no future sight easily dodge the accelerated kick.

Very enjoyable episode, and Saturn's arrival was really cool to see.
Too bad he becomes a bum post Kuma flashback.
Also to me it seems like the anime kind of proves even more that the eye attack Saturn does is a Advanced CoC attack.

You know, when Saturn first said that he'd dodge an attack if it could actually harm him, everyone considered it to be a decently badass proclamation with merit behind it. After everything that transpired past that Kuma punch though... I have a serious suspicion Sadturd was lying his ass off about his ability to do that, to be frank.
