I don't like his fate. Originally his bait was very strong, almost causing Naruto to lose his mind

and it was actually really well done because we actually see some sand village council members condemning Gaara for his past actions.

(of course at the end of the arc we see the sand rallying around Gaara, but it was nice to see the inner political reasons he could become Kazekage)
But at the end of the day, it was sad to see this legendary troll get trolled himself by Itachi and kill himself because of it....

By the way, can we talk about how there's just an arc where Sakura is really competent while Naruto is just objectively a burden, lol?

Man, the saving Kazekage arc is great. The reveal that Gaara became a Kage before Naruto and that Neji became a jonin was really hype(though only the Gaara part had anything come of it, I don't think Neji did much)

Prolly getting downplayed due to losing to Sakura and Chiyo.

Meh, he isn't really motivated that much before Asuma's death, no? Neji and Gaara were Narutos actual Chunin exam rivals, so seeing them progress and get over their trauma was great imo

Shown to have incredible haki, and haki was hyped up by Zoro, Lucci, and Jinbe.
Warcury was shown to have better durability than two Yonko's.
Took G5 Luffy, Sanji, Franky, and Bonney to deal with Mars
Ju Peter almost took out G5 Luffy, needed to be saved the Giants

Also want to point out that Egghead wasn't also the best arc in terms of showcasing the Elders full capabilities imo, as the arc was not meant to defeat any of them.

Saturn of course is the exception.

There is a reason why we never saw the hybrid forms for Ju Peter, Mars, and Warcury.

Early ship Naruto is a huge liability, fucking up every mission because he got emotional. I didn't mind so much during the Gaara mission, but him freaking out on Sai in the bridge mission got on my nerves hard. Meanwhile, at this point Sakura feels like a young Tsunade in strength and skill, though obviously she gets eclipsed later on
