Gunko was always the main focus of the Holy knight Trio.

The portrayal was obvious if you actually bothered. Otherwise, why would these be their opponents in the same chapter?

Gunko beat the Strawhats

Killingham beat Kiba

Sommers beat Saul

What seems more noteworthy?

Beating half of a yonko crew?

Beating a retired out of shape Giant Pirate?

Beating a retired Vice Admiral?

I think it's evidence that his arc is gonna be a lot bigger than folks were anticipating.
I mean we even got Imu interfering and he seems to have short fuse :risisweat:
Can see Gaban cutting off the connection btw Imu and Gunko and then Kringham retreating to bring back the full fury of the World Govt.
Hell, given things are currently going to shit on Marjoea the Admirals and Akainu might even get deployed
The arc would be over if they weren’t in the Underworld lol
Shit is going crazy in the God's Land so I don't think Imu is gonna deploy more God Knights to Elbalf. So the 3 God Knights stationed here are gonna be it.
While Sommers get butchered the fuck up, him being alive leaves the extremely high possibility that he's gonna get stiched up and "revived" again.
But Gaben's action here proves that you can bypass the God Knights's regeneration, and him doing in infront of the SHs will make them realize they can do it too and will figure thing out by themselves.

Imu gotta be setup to be the most underwhelming final boss rn lowkey

One Piece is nearly 30 years old and you're telling me the final boss has no aura? It can't be

Oda needs to stop silhouette teasing and start giving Imu some aura. Hashirama glazing aside, Madara's aura was generational when he was revived, and even when he was dead his name was being glazed worldwide

It's gonna take a lot to forget Imu dropping to his knees getting ptsd sweats at Joyboy's aura

How did he lose aura when we haven't seen the panels yet and he announced he's going to take action? What if he goes on a generational run now while in Gunko's body? Have some patience lol

What?
Madara wasn’t the final villain, it was Kaguya. Madara is more equivalent to Blackbeard. Imu mogs Kaguya in the aura and setup department even as a silhouette lol. That anime episode where Imu sunk the island was intense.
